- Useful Niagara
Falls vacation Information for your visit -
We've made these
facts about Niagara Falls area available to our guests for several years. Western
New York sight-seeing attractions, tourist information, and visitor's tips. We
revise this information once a year - usually around March or April when rates
to be charged are available - Calendar
of events for Niagara County -
The month of December is shown
because of the configuration of the Niagara-usa events calendar. Use the menu
in the grey area on the left side of the December page to choose your month of
interest. - Niagara
Falls vacation packages -
We are adding packages combining things
to do with our Bed and Breakfast's place to stay. Check back from time-to-time
as we will be adding more in the future. - Niagara
River
Shore hiking information -
This file is in PDF format for downloading
to your computer. We recently updated the information, to reflect additions to
the trail system. While we supply this information as a public service, we
urge you to check with the Discovery Center or a local New York State Parks office
for updated information, and for safety advice about hiking in and around the
gorge area. It can be dangerous. - No
Car? -
No Problem! This page tells you about our local bus system
and gives you links to official Ontario People-Mover and New York Scenic Trolley
information sites. - Main
Street and Niagara Falls History -
A page of information about our
neighborhood, up and down the Main Street of Niagara Falls, New York. Niagara
Falls history took place along Main Street, too, so some interesting history is
included here, too. - Niagara
Falls weather information -
Monthly data for high and low temperature
and snowfall to help you plan our travel wardrobe when you visit our B & B.
- Approximate
road distance to Niagara Falls from selected cities.-
Here
are some approximate road distances to Eastern cities. We suggest that you consult
one of the mapping/routing sites on the Internet for more exact information before
planning your trip in detail. - Niagara
Falls Restaurants -
Here is a list of some local restaurants.
Lis and I patronize the restaurant before we put it on the list. If our guests
aren't happy with a restaurant, that establishment is removed. We try to list
those places where the "locals" dine -- rather than places catering exclusively
to tourists. Enjoy! - Along
Main Street, the Earl W. Brydges Public Library is becoming
a Tourist Destination.
- Yes,
folks still get married in Niagara Falls, as this story
from the New York Times attests.
- If
you have time, visit nearby Buffalo too. Here is good description
also from the New York Times and here is a comment
in the Buffalo News on a 2005 speech by former President Clinton during
a Buffalo visit. Finally, here is a picture album of the
Buffalo Waterfront.
